It’s finally Supergirl‘s time to take its first post-winter hiatus break but the excitement that’s promised on Tuesday and Wednesday the week of Saint Patrick’s Day is sure to make up for the missing episode on Monday.
Arguably, the best episode of Season 2 was Kevin Smith’s Flash directorial debut, ‘The Runaway Dinosaur’–the episode that unexpectedly found Barry in the Speed Force. It’s no surprise, then, that he’d be returning to the place that gives him his powers this season. The appropriately titled ‘Into the Speed Force’ is directed by Gregory Smith and written by Brooke Roberts and Judalina Neira.
BARRY TURNS TO THE SPEED FORCE – Desperate to stop Savitar and save his friends, Barry (Grant Gustin) turns to the speed force for answers. H.R. (Tom Cavanagh) gives Jesse (guest star Violett Beane) some advice.
Two pieces of the Spear of Destiny are with the Legion of Doom and a third is with the Legends. The team will head to NASA Headquarters in 1970 to collect the final piece in ‘Moonshot’, directed by Kevin Mock and written by Grainne Godfree.
HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM — When the Legends track Commander Steel (guest star Matthew MacCaull) to NASA Headquarters in 1970, they learn where Nate’s (Nick Zano) grandfather hid the last fragment of the Spear of Destiny. The team notices a time aberration during the Apollo 13 mission and believes that the Legion of Doom might be involved. As the Legends journey into space to intercept Apollo 13, the Waverider suffers massive internal damage and Ray’s (Brandon Routh) life is left in jeopardy when he is stranded on the moon. Meanwhile, tension grows between Rip (Arthur Darvill) and Sara (Caity Lotz) as to who is the leader of the team. Victor Garber, Franz Drameh, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Dominic Purcell also star.
Fighting a losing battle, Oliver will look for answers about the man who wants to watch his world burn in ‘Checkmate’, directed by Ken Shane and written by Beth Schwartz and Sarah Tarkoff.
OLIVER SEEKS THE TRUTH — Oliver (Stephen Amell) gets closer to the truth about Prometheus. Meanwhile, Helix refuses to continue helping Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) until she does a favor for them.
The Flash returns with ‘Attack on Central City’ on February 28th at 8/7c, Arrow returns with ‘Fighting Fire with Fire’ on March 1st at 8/7c, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns with ‘Land of the Lost’ on March 7th at 9/8c all on The CW.
