Ever since The Flash spun off from Arrow a few years ago, the two shows have maintained a sort of symbiotic relationship. Even though characters from each show don’t necessarily cross over every week, there are often little mentions and nods on each show toward the other. This week’s episode of Arrow, though, does feature a crossover — but it will be extremely brief.

Arrow executive producer/co-showrunner Marc Guggenheim took to Twitter to preview a crossover scene from this week’s episode, ‘Second Chances.’ As you can see, it will likely last for only a second or two:

It looks like, for whatever reason, Barry will be zipping over to Star City just long enough to deposit a Post-It note on a computer monitor. Grant Gustin probably didn’t even film the scene, as it appears to be just the digital version of the Flash used for high-speed scenes.

But Why?

Who knows what Barry’s purpose in visiting Arrow could be; the synopsis for the episode yields few clues:

TALIA AL GHUL TAKES OLIVER UNDER HER WING — In his quest to take down Kovar, Oliver (Stephen Amell) gets help from a surprising source – Talia al Ghul (guest star Lexa Doig). However, when she reveals what she wants from him in exchange, Oliver isn’t sure he can accept her help. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) attempts to hack the NSA to help free Diggle (David Ramsey) but when her online efforts are flagged, she faces off against an unknown adversary. Meanwhile, Curtis (Echo Kellum) tells the team about a female vigilante, Tina Boland (guest star Juliana Harkavy), he uncovered online who has been wreaking havoc all over the country.

Arrow episode 5×11 ‘Second Chances’ airs this Wednesday at 8/7c on The CW.
