Viewers continue to count down the days until Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl return from the winter hiatus. In the meantime, though, production continues on the current seasons.
Arrow/Legends executive producer Marc Guggenheim has taken to Twitter this week to reveal the latest episodes to begin filming.
Fighting Fire With Fire
First up is Arrow episode 5×15, ‘Fighting Fire With Fire’:
— Marc Guggenheim (@mguggenheim) January 9, 2017
As you can see, the episode comes from frequent writers Speed Weed and Ben Sokolowski and will be helmed by veteran television director Michael Schultz.
So what does the title mean exactly? Who knows. It could mean Oliver and Team Arrow are preparing to get dirty in their battle against Prometheus. Or it could be a veiled reference to an actual fire.
For the record, here is the full list of upcoming Arrow episodes (that we know about):
- 5×10 – ‘Who Are You?’
- 5×11 – ‘Second Chances’
- 5×12 – ‘Bratva’
- 5×13 – ‘Spectre of the Gun’
- 5×14 – ‘The Sin-Eater’
- 5×15 – ‘Fighting Fire With Fire’
Guggenheim also revealed the title of Legends of Tomorrow episode 2×14, ‘Moonshot’:
— Marc Guggenheim (@mguggenheim) January 10, 2017
The episode was written by staff writer Grainne Godfree and will be directed by Kevin Mock.
The title ‘Moonshot’ could mean a lot of things. It could be an actual reference to the moon, possibly an episode involving the Apollo missions in the 1960s/70s. The term “moonshot” has also come to mean any ambitious, nearly impossible idea.
Here’s the full list of upcoming Legends episodes that have been released:
- 2×09 – ‘Raiders of the Lost Art’
- 2×10 – ‘The Legion of Doom’
- 2×11 – ‘Turncoat’
- 2×12 – ‘Camelot/3000’
- 2×13 – ‘Land of the Lost’
- 2×14 – ‘Moonshot’
Legends of Tomorrow will return in its new time slot on Tuesday, January 24 at 9/8c on The CW, with Arrow returning the following day, Wednesday, January 25 at 8/7c.
