The countdown to The Flash mid-season premiere has begun! With just over two week’s until the show’s return, The CW is gearing up the hype machine with a full episode synopsis and a new(ish) trailer.

Mid-Season Synopsis

First up, here’s the synopsis for ‘Borrowing Problems From The Future,’ written by Grainne Godfree & David Kob and directed by Millicent Shelton:

BARRY FIGHTS FOR IRIS — Barry (Grant Gustin) is tormented by his vision of the future where Iris (Candice Patton) is murdered by Savitar. When a criminal named Plunder (guest star Stephen Huszar) shows up in Central City, Barry recalls the villain’s presence in his vision of the future and fears that if he catches Plunder, it will cement Iris’ fate. Confused about Barry’s hesitation to stop Plunder, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) decides to step in as Kid Flash. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) offers Julian (Tom Felton) a job.

Most of this we were able to glean from the previous trailers, but the part about Julian is new. Is Julian joining the S.T.A.R. Labs team? Or is Caitlin asking him for help in controlling or removing her powers?

Trailer Park

Speaking of trailers, there’s a new one out for ‘Borrowing Problems From The Future,’ but don’t get too excited. There’s no new footage; it’s literally just a shortened version of the first promo trailer from a few weeks ago:
