The final Arrowverse episode before the month-long winter hiatus needs to leave a lasting impression and Legends of Tomorrow‘s midseason finale looks like it just might be up for the job. When the team arrives in 1927 Chicago, they’ll discover that the Legion of Doom has gained some new members since they last met. The photo gallery reveals that Arrow‘s very own Dark Archer, Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), has allied himself with Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher).
The trailer for the episode shows the Legion of Doom making a deal with Al Capone (which leads to a mayoral victory for America’s most infamous gangster), Mick (Dominic Purcell) deciding he’s going to take charge on this mission…and the return of the one, the only…Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller).
During the crossover, we learned that A) Martin Stein (Victor Garber) now has a daughter and B) he’s intending on keeping that secret from the rest of the team (minus Jax). At a press screening of the event last week, EP Marc Guggenheim talked about how this decision will come back to bite the professor in the butt–or maybe not:
“[…] Legends works differently than Arrow, where Arrow is all about people keeping secrets and secrets coming out and causing strife. We’re setting up Legends’ midseason finale, where the ramifications of that secret come into play — they’ll come into play in a way that’s a little different […]”
Tune in to ‘The Chicago Way’ on December 8th at 8/7c on The CW.
