Both Supergirl and The Flash this week ended on massive cliffhangers: Mon-El (Chris Wood) was captured by Cadmus and Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) was encased in a giant speedster cocoon. (Yes, twenty-four hours later and that’s still a weird sentence to say.) While we may be on the edge of our seats for the next few days, cliffhangers tend to mean the storylines are really ramping up and if these first looks for next week’s episodes are any indication, Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Barry (Grant Gustin) are going to be facing some incredible threats.

In the photo gallery for ‘The Darkest Places’, we see Mon-El and Kara trapped in a cage by Mama Luthor (Brenda Strong), Maggie (Floriana Lima) confronting Alex (Chyler Leigh) for the first time after breaking her heart, and Winn (Jeremy Jordan) and James (Mehcad Brooks) discussing Guardian’s framing.

In the photo gallery for ‘Killer Frost’, we see Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker)–with white streaks in her hair and glowing eyes–being locked up in the pipeline and threatening Barry and Julian (Tom Felton), Barry and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) in Alchemy’s (Tobin Bell) lair, fanboy extraordinaire Kevin Smith directing Panabaker and Gustin, and the shot so many of us have been waiting so long to see…Caitlin as her villainous alter ego, Killer Frost.

Additionally, we have the extended trailers for both episodes for you. On Supergirl, we’ll be seeing Kara take on Lillian and the dangerous effects M’gann’s (Sharon Leal) blood had on J’onn (David Harewood).

On The Flash, we’ll be seeing Cisco’s (Carlos Valdes) vibe come to fruition and Caitlin attacking Julian and blaming Barry.

While there are no new episodes of Arrow or Legends of Tomorrow next week due to Thanksgiving, it looks like Supergirl and The Flash are going to air two unforgettable hours of television. Make sure to tune in to ‘The Darkest Places’ on November 21st and ‘Killer Frost’ on November 22nd both at 8/7c on The CW.
