Is the wait for October 4th making you wish you could run into the future? Well, thanks to The CW, that wait just got a whole lot easier (…or, for some people, possibly harder). A one-minute trailer featuring brand new footage of ‘Flashpoint’ was just released earlier today. Take a look for yourself!

Take a moment to get your heartbeat back to normal. That was a lot. …Okay. You good? Let’s dive right in!

Mainly, this trailer showcases Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) as Kid Flash–or, as Wally calls himself, The Flash. Barry’s (Grant Gustin) excited by the fact that he doesn’t have to be the superhero anymore as Central City already has one. However, he does tell Wally that he’s going to help him defeat The Rival (Todd Lasance). A little help couldn’t hurt, right?

We also get our first real look at this timeline’s version of Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker). No new info is revealed as we’ve already been told by the EPs that she’s still a doctor…however, if you pause the trailer at the 0:27 mark, you can clearly see a ring on her right hand. Panabaker revealed at San Diego Comic Con in July that her wish for ‘Flashpoint’ is to have Caitlin and Ronnie (Robbie Amell) be together and happy. Is she getting her wish?

Also at the 0:27 second mark is an incredibly interesting shot of Cisco (Carlos Valdes): He’s holding what looks to be a pair of goggles up to his face. Does this mean Cisco still has his powers in ‘Flashpoint’? It’s important to note that he’s in a dark room and startles when Wally runs in behind him. Is he keeping his powers a secret? Makes sense. What would the world think if the richest man in America was a metahuman?

The end of the trailer shows us an exchange between Barry and Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) as the villain explains to his nemesis that his powers and memories will begin to fade away. We’re also shown a certain catastrophe which makes Iris (Candice Patton) very worried. Will this be what causes Barry to undo what he did at the end of Season 2?

In other ‘Flashpoint’ related news, a rough cut of the season premiere was released to the press and, so far, we’ve gotten some hints as to what to expect from the ladies of Central City in two weeks.

According to Entertainment Weekly, there is “quite a big reveal when it comes to Iris” in the season premiere. ComicBook.com’s Russ Burlingame added that “Iris is more Barry’s lightning rod than we’ve seen before”. Patton expanded on their relationship:

“She’s a fixed point for Barry Allen, so no matter where we see her, no matter where we find her, she’s still very similar to the Iris that we’ve always known and loved, which is why Barry sees her as the shining star in the sky. […] He can always find her somewhat the same.”

Iris isn’t the only one with a shocking secret in the premiere, though. According to TVLine’s Vlada Gelman, Caitlin’s reveal in ‘Flashpoint’ is “fun”. Any guesses as to what that might be?

The Flash returns for its third season on October 4th at 8/7c on The CW.
