New teaser features multiple time periods and glimpses of Albert Einstein & Stargirl
The CW is giving us our first look at the second season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow today with the debut of brand-new teaser trailer.
It’s a short trailer, with a lot of quick cuts, but we do get to see the team in several different time periods. The video begins with Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) trying to express how important it is to try and replace the Time Masters, only to be interrupted by Sara (Caity Lotz), who reminds him there are “no rules” now.
Then there are a lot of very quick scenes showing the team in the 1940s with a scoundrel version of physicist Albert Einstein, Dr. Stein (Victor Garber) and Jax (Franz Drameh) nearly losing their heads, and Sara apparently seducing the Queen of France (or was it the other way around).
There’s also a blink-or-you’ll-miss-it cameo from Stargirl (Sarah Grey) — believe us, it’s there. Stargirl is one of the members of the Justice Society of America that will be featured in Season 2, alongside Hourman (Patrick J. Adams), Commander Steel (Matthew MacCaull), Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), and the as-yet unannounced cast members Dr. Mid-Nite and Obsidian.
Speaking of Vixen, earlier today Legends of Tomorrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim tweeted a new, clearer view of the costume that will be worn by Amaya Jiwe, the show’s new Vixen and grandmother to Megalyn Echikunwoke’s Mari McCabe:
