‘Legends’ EP tweets intriguing new photo of Atom atop a horse
As Legends of Tomorrow has already shown us in Season 1, when you take a ragtag group of superheroes and mix in the ability to travel anywhere in space and time, you never quite know what you’re going to get. A new set photo of Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) proves that, if anything, things are about to get even crazier in Season 2.
Earlier this week, Legends executive producer Marc Guggenheim tweeted a new photo of Routh filming on location, sitting atop a horse while dressed in his full Atom armor with a Japanese samurai helmet:
Legends of Tomorrow. This show is insane… pic.twitter.com/sEskMkHW4q

This is the second bizarre set photo of Ray Palmer in as many weeks. Previously, Routh himself shared a photo on Instagram showing a bearded, wild-haired Ray seemingly channeling Oliver Queen’s time stranded on Lian Yu.
It wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to imagine the two photos are related. Maybe Ray will find himself stranded for years in feudal Japan, eventually becoming a samurai warrior?
We’ll find out when DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns for its second season on Thursday, October 13 at 8/7c on The CW.
