The ‘Teen Titans’ character set to appear in ‘Supergirl’ Season 2

Supergirl is adding yet another new character to the cast, as it was announced at the CW panel at TCA 2016 today that actress Sharon Leal will be playing fan favorite Miss Martian.

Miss Martian (AKA M’gann M’orzz/Megan Morse) is a newer character, first appearing in 2006’s Teen Titans #37. The character is actually a White Martian, who pretends to be a Green Martian (like fellow Supergirl character J’onzz J’onzz, AKA Martian Manhunter). She was a main character on Cartoon Network’s Young Justice series, voiced by Danica McKellar.

Leal has long film and television career, with a notable turn in the 2006 musical Dreamgirls. On the small screen, she’s known for her supporting role on Boston Public and Hellcats. She recently starred as a main cast member on the Freeform series Recovery Road.

No details were announced on which episodes Miss Martian will appear and if it will be a recurring role or not.

Supergirl flies to The CW for Season 2 starting Monday, October 4 at 8/7c.
