Brand new details on Flashpoint and full trailer for Season 3 of ‘The Flash’!

Today was the day The CW’s DC universe shows took over Ballroom 20 at San Diego Comic-Con, with Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow leading the pack, followed by The Flash. In the end, we learned quite a bit about the new season and how Barry’s alteration of the timeline will affect the show.

The Flash panel started with an awesome new trailer for Season 3 (above).

There’s quite a bit to gleam from just that trailer. Barry’s parents are alive, and the West family doesn’t know Barry. Reverse Flash is still alive and being held in a cage by Barry. And Cisco is now the richest man in America!

The cast then took the stage: Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash), Candice Patton (Iris West), Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon), Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow), Jesse L. Martin (Joe West), Keiynan Lonsdale (Wally West/Kid Flash), Tom Cavanagh (Dr. Harrison Wells), and newcomer Tom Felton.

Later it was revealed that Barry has been living in this blissful new timeline for three months when the season begins. He remembers everything from his previous life.

There are two villains in Season 3; one is Dr. Alchemy, voiced by Saw‘s Tobin Bell. The other will be a mysterious new speedster, to be revealed later on.

Flashpoint won’t have much impact on Legends of Tomorrow, as those characters are already traveling though time. It will, however, have a ripple effect on Arrow — on John Diggle in particular. Speaking of Arrow, Emily Bett Rickards will guest-star as Felicity on the season’s third episode, coming to Central City to give Barry some advice.

Felton doesn’t know much about his character yet, but he and Barry will clash with one another. Cavanagh is remaining mum on who he’s actually playing this year (though the good money is on Earth-1 Harrison Wells, minus the arrival of Eobard Thawne. Lonsdale had no idea he’d be playing Kid Flash this soon on the show. Patton would like Iris to visit Supergirl and work for CatCo.

The Flash returns on Tuesday, October 4 at 8/7c on The CW.
