The Waverider crew will be ‘Out of Time’ when ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ returns in October

With Arrow and The Flash already filming their upcoming seasons, things are finally starting to gear up on their sibling show, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Actress Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/White Canary) took to Twitter to unveil the title of the upcoming Season 2 premiere.

Lotz tweeted a picture of the entire cover page for the episode, now revealed to be titled ‘Out of Time.’ The script was written by producers Marc Guggenheim & Phil Klemmer from a story by Greg Berlanti & Chris Fedak. Dermott Downs, who directed four episodes of Legends last season (as well as multiple episodes of Supergirl, The Flash, and Arrow) will return to helm the season premiere.

The script also lists a ten-day shooting schedule, from July 18 to July 28. Lotz is scheduled to appear with co-stars Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/Atom) and Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein) at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 23. Presumably production will be taking a break for at least that one day.

Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 will introduce a bevy of new characters as the Justice Society of America becomes part of the show, including Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Vixen, Nick Zano as Citizen Steel, Patrick J. Adams as Hourman, and another currently unannounced team member.

The villain for the new season will be introduced slowly, while the crew adjust to their new roles as Time Masters. The crew will also be encountering a cheeky version of Albert Einstein early in Season 2 and Lotz has teased that Sara may find herself a new girlfriend.

The second season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will premiere on Thursday, October 13 at 8/7c on The CW. Be sure to follow Arrowverse.tv on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr for live-coverage of Comic-Con 2016 and all the latest news and updates on Legends, Arrow, Supergirl, and The Flash.
