A very different Albert Einstein to appear on ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Season 2, while Caity Lotz teases a possible girlfriend for Sara
Two interesting bits of news making the rounds today regarding the upcoming second season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. First, it appears the latest historical figure to make an appearance will be the godfather of modern physics himself, Albert Einstein. And actress Caity Lotz says in a new interview that Sara Lance might be gaining a new girlfriend in Season 2.
TVLine reports that the Waverider crew will encounter a “circa-1942” Einstein next season, but “they’re disillusioned to discover that the legendary scientist is a snarky, brusque skirt-chaser. Needless to say, he proves to be quite a handful when they attempt to save his life.”
Certainly sounds like a new take on the famed scientist; now the question is who could play this comical version of Einstein? Casting could be a lot of fun on this one.
In other news, Moviefone interviewed Caity Lotz, who had a few interesting tidbits on the upcoming season. She says she’s excited for the crossovers to come between the four shows and is particularly interested in meeting Katie Cassidy’s Earth-2 doppelganger, Black Siren.
When asked for any hints about Legends Season 2, Lotz teased, “I think Sara might get a new girlfriend!” She also talked about the possibility of Katrina Law reprising her role as Sara’s ex, Nyssa al Ghul, saying that despite her role on ABC’s upcoming series Training Day, Law “worked it in her deal so that she could come and see us!”
Legends of Tomorrow should begin filming Season 2 soon. Lotz will join Brandon Routh and Victor Garber for a panel on July 13 at San Diego Comic-Con, and the new season will premiere on Thursday, October 13 on The CW.
