Rip Hunter returns the team to 2016 to pursue their destinies in ‘Legendary’
Next Thursday, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will bring its epic first season to a close. After the traumatic events of the past two episodes, Rip Hunter will bring the team back to 2016 and give them the choice to stay on the team or pursue other interests, now that the shackles of the Oculus have been destroyed.
The CW has released a new extended trailer and image gallery for the season finale, “Legendary.” The trailer highlights what appears to be a final showdown with Vandal Savage:

After the numerous sacrifices the team has made since the beginning of this ride, Rip (Arthur Darvill) decides that it’s time they each decide their own destiny and returns them to Central City a few months after they first left. Returned to their normal lives, each team member must individually decide if they are willing to sacrifice everything in order to save the world. Meanwhile, Sara (Caity Lotz) visits with her father (guest star Paul Blackthorne) who delivers some heartbreaking news about her sister.
