Roy Harper actor Colton Haynes reveals he will reprise his Arrow role for Season Five
Colton Haynes spent three seasons on Arrow, starting out as Thea’s love interest, Roy Harper, and eventually becoming Arsenal, a fully-fledged member of Team Arrow. After leaving in Season Three, Haynes briefly returned in episode 4×12, “Unchained,” earlier this season. Speaking at a fan convention this past weekend, though, Haynes announced that he will be appear in multiple episodes in next year’s Season Five.
Initially reported by SpoilerTV, the news was tweeted by a fan who saw Haynes speak at the Justice Squad Convention in Paris, France:

The announcement comes on the heels of a new interview from Haynes last week where he revealed his struggles with anxiety and how they contributed to his departure from Arrow. In the same interview, Haynes praised Arrow creator Greg Berlanti, saying, “Working for Greg was the greatest experience of my life, and when he offered me Arrow, it was a new beginning for me. I would love to do more. They know I love them. I’d go back in a second.”
There are three more episodes left to air in Arrow‘s fourth season, then production will gear up on the fifth season sometime in July. We’ll have more details as they’re announced, so be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr for all the latest!
