Rip Hunter pushes the Waverider to its limits, while Kendra tries to reach Carter, and Vandal Savage bides his time
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is really hitting its stride now, with both the first season and the Vandal Savage story arc reaching their ends. In tonight’s episode, “River of Time,” with Savage as their prisoner, the team will attempt to reach the Time Masters and put an end to Savage once and for all.
The CW has released three clips from tonight’s episode to get us ready. The first clip (above) features a few new scenes along with some inside info from Legends EP Phil Klemmer.
In this second preview, we see Kendra attempting to get through Carter’s brainwashing while Ray watches on — for a time, anyway:
In the third clip, Sara confronts Rip about the strains their journey is putting on the Waverider, and he assures her the ship can handle the stress. But it doesn’t look like he’s exactly right about that:
Here’s the synopsis for “River of Time,” written by Cortney Norris & Anderson Mackenzie and directed by Alice Troughton:
After numerous attempts in many different time periods, the team has successfully captured Vandal Savage (guest star Casper Crump). However, Savage tells Kendra (Ciara Renée) that he can reunite her with Carter (Falk Hentschel) so she struggles with whether she should kill him. Rip (Arthur Darvill) decides they will deliver Savage to the Time Masters which doesn’t sit well with Snart (Wentworth Miller) and Rory (Dominic Purcell). The duo decides it may be time to jump ship and return to their old life. Meanwhile, Savage taunts Ray (Brandon Routh) about his place in Kendra’s life.
And we can’t leave you without showcasing the official promo trailer for the episode:
