Major spoilers revealed for episode 14, “River of Time”!

Legends of Tomorrow has been picking up a lot of steam lately, and a new synopsis shows the momentum isn’t going to stop anytime soon. With the highly anticipated Jonah Hex episode behind them, next week’s episode, “Leviathan,” will find the team encountering their younger selves in order to protect them from the Time Master assassin, The Pilgrim. Now, we have a synopsis for the following episode, “River of Time,” scheduled for air on May 5:

CAPTURED – After numerous attempts in many different time periods, the team has successfully captured Vandal Savage (guest star Casper Crump). However, Savage tells Kendra (Ciara Renée) that he can reunite her with Carter (Falk Hentschel) so she struggles with whether she should kill him. Rip (Arthur Darvill) decides they will deliver Savage to the Time Masters which doesn’t sit well with Snart (Wentworth Miller) and Rory (Dominic Purcell). The duo decides it may be time to jump ship and return to their old life. Meanwhile, Savage taunts Ray (Brandon Routh) about his place in Kendra’s life. Alice Troughton directed the episode written by Cortney Norris & Anderson Mackenzie.

Wow, talk about spoilers! I have to admit, I wondered if the team would actually capture Vandal Savage this season, or whether he would be an ongoing foil. Of course, he could always escape during or after the events of this episode, but it seems likely we’ll be wrapping up the Savage story by season’s end.

Also of note is the episode’s title, “River of Time.” After the inclusion of Arthur Darvill, a stolen timeship, the Time Master Council, Chronos, and others, this makes what I estimate to be the millionth hilarious connection to Doctor Who, as Darvill spent plenty of time on that show cavorting around with his daughter, River Song.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is all-new next Thursday at 8:00 PM with the aforementioned “Leviathan,” while the newly-teased “River of Time” will air the following week on May 5. As more information is released on both episodes, we’ll be sure to bring it to you. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest!
