Finally, it became known that the Justice League Odyssey’s three issues will come out this September. The initial date of the release was July 11th.
Justice League Odyssey is about a team led by Cyborg that includes Darkseid, Starfire, Azrael, and Jessica Cruz. The team will explore the depths of the Cosmos. The screenwriter is Joshua Williamson, and the artist is Stepan Sejic. According to the plot, the team will travel the universe, exploring all the new and unusual that appeared after the events of Dark Nights: Metal. Their transport will be the former ship of Brainiac, executed in the form of his head.
Before it was announced that the release of the Odyssey would be delayed until August. However, later it became clear that the books will come out on September 26th. This is the day when DC will also launch Heroes in Crisis and Doomsday Clock.
The reasons for the delay are unknown. According to some announcements, two issues were prepared but then tossed, meaning that re-lettering couldn’t save the issue. It may be that the books were delayed because of Sejic’s art style, however, before he delivered all his books on time.
